PRODUCTIVITY TRAINING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The CMDF  implements Productivity Training Development Program and Competency Assessment Program to enhance the competencies and capabilities of the manpower resources of the Construction Industry, with the end-in-view of making the industry globally competitive.

CMDF training courses particularly Technology/Supervisory Development Courses  as well as Productivity & Skills’ Upgrading Courses are offered at  CMDF’ Training Centers (CMDF-TC)  in  Dasmariñas City, Cavite,  Cebu City or Davao City. Other training courses like  Construction Management Courses and Safety Training  Courses are conducted at CMDF’s Training Room in Makati City. CMDF training  courses may also be offered as in-house training for companies; while  skills’ upgrading and trade testing  are conducted in communities ( training cum production, i.e., workers may be trained in community projects sites for proper job execution).

By forging strategic partnership with private and public sector  organizations such as: the  Philippine Constructor Association (PCA) , Association of Carriers and Equipment Lessors (ACEL), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority(TESDA), and  the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), appropriate construction management and supervisory development course curriculla were developed. CMDF  ensures that each course curriculum is benchmark with internationally accepted standards and appropriate for the development of the human resources of the Construction Industry.

B.1. CONSTRUCTION MANAGERS’  TRAINING & CERTIFICATION PROGRAM (COMTCP)  –  Click Link to APPLY  !

The CMDF Construction Managers’ Training and Certification Program (COMTCP) is a program to train, evaluate and certify construction engineers at supervisory and managerial levels who have/had been engaged in general building works through an organization or agency recognized by the Philippine Contractors’ Accreditation Board (PCAB).

The COMTCP certification system involves the assessment of the competence of construction Project Managers, Project Superintendents and Project Supervisors. Project Managers, Superintendents and Supervisors can get certified based on their compliance to the knowledge and skills standard requirements for General Engineering, General Building or Specialty Trade (as classified by PCAB).  COMTCP requires strict adherence to internationally accepted standards of construction project management performance. The COMTCP  eligibility requirements are as follows:

Certification provides the assurance that only competent managers, superintendents and supervisors may handle large and complex projects. To date, there are a total of 255 project managers/superintendents certified for General Engineering, General Building and Specialty Construction (as classified by PCAB}. Construction Contractors with CMDF certified project managers/superintendents reap additional benefits as they are awarded by PCAB additional three (3) credit points in the upgrading of their accreditation license  to a higher category. e. g. A.3  SAFETY & HEALTH  TRAINING COURSES

It is generally recognized that proper execution management of building and infrastructure construction works has become increasingly important to satisfy the buildings’ end users, project owners and contractors in terms of quality, delivery, productivity and above all the safety of structures and the workplace. Recent incidents brought about by deficient/inadequate execution management and safety awareness in the construction industry resulted to accidents in project  sites. In response to this situation, CMDF offers safety & health training courses targeting construction contractors, PCABAuthorized Management Officers (AMO), Safety Officers, PCAB Sustaining Technical Employees (STE) and workers.

 

 

 

The safety & health  training courses offered are as follows:

  1. Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Course. The CMDF COSH course is accredited by the Bureau of Working Conditions (BWC)of  the DOLE. COSH Course was developed in response to the requirements of DOLE D. O.
