DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez recently appointed the members of the board of directors of the Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF), the human resource development arm of the construction industry. The board is composed of industry leaders headed by Agusto F. Manalo of J.E. Manalo & Company, Incorporated as Chairman. The other board members include Mr. Mariano Agoncillo of DATEM, Inc., Mr. Peter Paul Dy of PLD Construction, Mr. Jerico Borja of Borja Construction Coordinate And Allied Services, Inc. and Mr. Lito Garcia of Livan Trade Corporation. DTI-CEODBG Undersecretary Ruth Castelo welcomed the new Board on August 9, 2017 at the DTI main office on Gil Puyat Ave., Makati.

The new board of directors immediately convened for a meeting after the welcoming ceremony in the Office of the Undersecretary. The board discussed and resolved various industry issues. As the manpower development arm of the industry, CMDF strives to assure that the inputs of the industry is taken with great consideration in policy making and program development. With a new leadership, CMDF will continue to serve the industry by raising the competency of our manpower to achieve a globally competitive and locally adaptive workforce.
